Arrow is an American superhero television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. Season 1 consists of 23 episodes and aired on The CW network from October 10, 2012, to May 15, 2013.
Episode 13, titled "Betrayal," aired on February 6, 2013. In this episode, Oliver (the main character) discovers that one of his closest friends, Tommy Merlyn, is involved in a conspiracy with his father, Malcolm Merlyn, to destroy a section of the city in order to benefit financially from rebuilding it. Oliver struggles with how to handle Tommy's betrayal while also trying to stop the destruction of the city.
The episode was directed by Ken Fink and written by Lana Cho and Beth Schwartz. It has a runtime of approximately 42 minutes. It received positive reviews from critics who praised the plot twists and character development.
